Austria, Empire. An 1813/1814 Army Cannon Cross (Kanonenkreuz) Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic with a central white enameled(Armee Kreuz 1813 1814 Kanonenkreuz). Instituted May 31st, 1814. Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte with a laurel wreath in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse inscribed Grati Princeps et Patria Franc. Im. Aug in capitalized letters, the reverse inscribed Europae Liberate Asserta MDCCCXIII MDCCCIV, on a fixed loop and broad swivel ring for suspension from a correct modern replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 27.
